William Hooker Davis was born July 05, 1943 in Mississippi to the late Merritt Davis, Sr. and Polly Ann Davis. He was a member of the Greater Mt. Carmel Church under the leadership of Pastor Benson. He served on the Usher and Deacon Boards faithfully. Even when his health started to decline, he kept on pressing his way to the Church. On April 18, 1993 he was united in marriage to Mattie A. Wiley.
William was preceded in death by his Wife, Mattie A. Davis; his Parents, Merritt Davis, Sr. and Polly Ann Davis; his Son, Alphie (Punkin) Morgan; his Siblings: Glotha Davis, Josephine Beattles, Merritt Leon, Jr., Lazarus Davis, Clara Taylor, and Corinthia Davis; and his Granddaughter, Adricia Hunt.
He leaves to cherish his memory four daughters: Leticia Wiley, Levetta Morgan, Lanea Rucker, and Renea Williams; seven step-children: Felicia Wiley, Bridget (Sweet) Kuykendoll, Sonya (Jacob) Prather, Eundra (Jonette) Wiley, David (Diane) Wiley, Lonnie Wiley, and Crozet Wiley; and a host of Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, and Friends.
